Low VOC Paints

No VOC paints or low VOC paints were required by law starting in 2011 for all interior projects in California. We’ve found that no-VOC or low-VOC paints work great for interiors in old homes and new homes. We also recommend them for hospitals, schools and childcare centers.

For exteriors, we use the highest quality 100% latex-based paints and primers. These paints are water-based and non-toxic. California no longer allows the manufacture and use of lead-based paints.

Clients often wonder how long their paint job will last. Interior paint theoretically can last forever–it all depends on use. The exterior paint will typically last about 10 years and again it all depends on how much protection the house or building has.
